, Teacher Notes
The Magical Number Quest covers a complete first introduction to numbers
1 to 10 for early learners: recognizing quantities, counting with one-to-one
correspondence, recognizing and practicing numerals, comparing more and
fewer, and putting numbers in order.

Each leg of the journey opens with a short Discovery Briefing meant to be
read aloud by a grown-up, so no separate lesson is required beforehand,
and every activity is designed to be completed together with an adult close
by.

Expect approximately thirty to sixty minutes of engaged play, ideally spread
across two or three shorter sessions for younger children. Every puzzle
answer, along with a simple explanation, is provided in the Complete Answer
Key page.

This gamebook is built to align with US Common Core, UK Early Years
Foundation Stage, Canadian, Australian, European, Asian, and International
early years curriculum standards for foundational number sense.

The Magical Number Quest includes a Certificate of Achievement. Upon
successful completion of all 8 legs of the journey, the certificate may be
signed and awarded by the teacher, tutor, instructor, or parent.

, Welcome to the Adventure
Once upon a time, all the numbers from 1 to 10 lived happily in the Number
Kingdom, right beside the Great Number Tree. But one windy night, every
single number wandered off to hide, and the Great Number Tree grew quiet
and still.

Only a brave young explorer, with a grown-up by their side, can find every
number and bring the kingdom back to life.
