Communication — the act of transferring information/meaning from one
person or group to another.

Elements of Communication:

Sender (Source/Encoder) — originates the message

Message — the information being conveyed

Channel — medium used (verbal, written, visual, etc.)

Receiver (Decoder) — interprets the message

Feedback — receiver's response

Context — situation/environment surrounding communication

Noise/Barrier — anything that distorts the message

2. Models of Communication

Linear Model (Shannon-Weaver) — one-way transmission of message.
