, ✔✔AHRS - ✔✔AHRS controls the AI(Attitude Indicator) and HI(Heading Indicator) - it
uses 3 internal sensors (Rate sensors, Tilt sensors, and Accelerometers) determining
where the natural horizon is during initialization and displaying the airplane's relative
position to it on the AI. The Magnetometer, similar to a flux-gate compass, measures
local magnetic field and sends that information to the AHRS for processing and
displaying heading on the HI.

AHRS also measures rate of turn by use of a trend vector to predict heading in 6
seconds and displays just above HSI. The Slip/Skid information is displayed at the top
of the AI.

✔✔ADC - ✔✔ADC controls ASI(Airspeed Indicator), ALT(Altimeter) and VSI(Vertical
Speed Indicator). It uses transducers to convert Pitot and Static pressures to digital and
receives temperature information from a probe on top of cabin so the computer can do
most E6b(flight computer) calculations. Then it displays these on the PFD along with
OAT and TAS. When a constant accel/decel or ascent/descent is maintained, the
system can predict and show where the ASI or ALT will be in 6 seconds with trend
vectors. By measuring pressure difference over time, it can show a vertical speed rate.

✔✔Standby Instruments - ✔✔Attitude Indicator: A spinning gyro powered by electricity.
It uses the principle of "Rigidity in space" for its operation. It has gyroscopic errors,
which the G1000 AI does not, that are corrected by pendulous vanes.

Air Speed Indicator: A pressure differential gauge that measures the difference between
Pitot (Dynamic) and Static pressures. It uses a diaphragm connected to the Pitot tube
inside a sealed case connected to the Static port. As Pitot pressure changes in relation
to Static pressure, the diaphragm expands and contracts, mechanical linkage moves
the needle.

Altimeter: A pressure differential gauge that measures difference between 29.92 in Hg
and Static pressure. It uses sealed aneroid wafers filled with 29.92 pressure inside a
sealed case connected to the Static port. As static pressure changes the aneroid wafers
expand and contract, mechanical linkage moves the needle.

✔✔Vertical Speed Indicator - ✔✔A static line is connected directly to a diaphragm,
which itself is housed inside a chamber that has a calibrated leak. When a climb or
descent is undertaken, the diaphragm immediately receives the change in static
pressure, however, due to the calibrated leak the pressure of the chamber remains the
same. This pressure differential is what causes the diaphragm to contract or expand
and change the displayed number.

✔✔Air Speed Indicator - ✔✔ASI receives both static and ram air pressure. Aesthetic air
pressure sits in the chamber and the ram air pressure is delivered via the Peto tube.
The pressure differential causes an expansion or contraction which changes the
displayed number.
