Introduction In the parliamentary law-making process there are three main influences that
government consider when passing new legislation, this includes pressure
groups, the law commission and public opinion with media.


Each influence uses their platform to spread awareness to the government
about issues falling society and how they believe they can be overcome.


- Pressure groups represent organisational needs, who feel strongly apart a
particular cause,
- the law commission, who use their expert knowledge to improve the judicial
system
- public opinion, which allows the public to inform the government about the
national opinions of society.
