Organizational Culture:
The company I’m choosing is the company I currently work for, Morneau Shepell, and
the mission statement reads as: ‘Morneau Shepell is a leading provider of technology-enabled
HR services that deliver an integrated approach to employee wellbeing through our cloud-based
platform. Our focus is providing world-class solutions to our clients to support the mental,
physical, social and financial wellbeing of their people. By improving lives, we improve
business. Our approach spans services in employee and family assistance, health and wellness,
recognition, pension and benefits administration, retirement consulting, actuarial and
investment services’ (morneaushepell.com).
Within this statement, I see every day that our company is always working to make the
lives of not just our clients, but also our own employees, easier. Morneau does focus on the well-
being of its clients by our operations teams providing world class customer solutions for the
clients and Morneau does value each employee. They are flexible with giving us time off
without taking vacation days, if we have appointments they understand, and they are a very
family- oriented group. The company’s leadership group sends out bi-weekly emails to all of its
employees, and also our managers have weekly scrum calls with their specific group of people
they manage to ensure everyone is on the same page and they let us know what is coming down
the pipeline. Our managers have an open-door policy and whenever we need to speak to them
