Planning

As a teacher, planning forms the foundation of an effective classroom management system.
Planning involves determining learning objectives, selecting appropriate teaching strategies,
preparing resources, anticipating learner needs, and establishing classroom rules and routines
before instruction takes place. Effective planning enables the teacher to create a structured
learning environment where learners understand expectations and can participate meaningfully
in classroom activities. According to Kayyali (2025), effective classroom management begins
with clear expectations and purposeful instructional planning that promotes learner engagement
and positive behaviour.

Planning also involves considering learner diversity, learning styles, cultural backgrounds, and
individual educational needs. By anticipating potential challenges and preparing suitable
interventions, teachers reduce disruptions and maximise instructional time. Well-planned lessons
keep learners actively engaged, reducing opportunities for boredom, confusion, and misconduct.
Planning therefore contributes directly to learner achievement by ensuring that teaching activities
align with curriculum outcomes and assessment requirements (Evertson & Weinstein, 2013).

However, planning should not be viewed as a rigid process. Effective teachers continuously
revise and adapt their plans based on learner progress and classroom realities. Critical reflection
on planning allows teachers to identify weaknesses and make necessary adjustments to improve
learning outcomes.

Organising

Organising involves arranging classroom resources, learning materials, physical space, schedules,
and activities in a manner that supports teaching and learning. As a teacher, I would ensure that
