The business question guiding this revised analysis is: What is the predictive relationship
between monthly nurse attrition rates and nurse participation in the corporate wellness program,
and how can this information be used to inform workforce engagement strategies?
Null Hypothesis
There is no statistically significant relationship between nurse attrition rate and nurse wellness
program participation rate.
Justification for Linear Regression
Linear regression is still the appropriate technique because both variables are continuous and
measured at the ratio level. The dataset includes 36 paired monthly observations of attrition rates
and program participation rates. By reversing the variables, we test whether attrition predicts
participation, quantify the strength of this relationship, and apply the results to engagement
planning.
