History
Daniel is an 8-month-old with Down syndrome who lives with his parents,
Sara and Josh, and his 3-year-old sister, Emma. He was born at 39 weeks via
vaginal delivery with no complications during pregnancy. His diagnosis was
suspected at birth due to physical features and later confirmed through
chromosomal testing. Throughout pregnancy, his mother received
specialized care, and no major concerns were noted.
At birth, Daniel had low muscle tone, which is common in children with Down
syndrome. He was born weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces. His parents report that
he has been meeting developmental milestones, though at a delayed pace.
Daniel has a history of frequent ear infections (otitis media), which may be
affecting his hearing. He is currently being monitored by an audiologist.
