Flush door Has flat surfaces on both sides and consists of a wood frame with thin
sheets of materials (plywood veneer, plastic laminates, hardboard, or metal).
Solid core door Door with a solid particleboard or wood block core, which is covered with
layers of veneer; used as exterior (can be fire rated) doors; provides better
sound insulation and has less tendency to warp.
Hollow core door Door with a lightweight core made of various materials then covered with
layers of veneers; used as interior doors; less expensive to produce.
