PPL FLIGHT PORTION CHECKRIDE
EXAM QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 2026
VERIFIED.
Passenger Briefing: - ANS S: Seat Belts/Shoulder Harnesses - We are required to wear our
seat belts, and if in the front, shoulder harnesses, during Taxi, Takeoff, and Landing.
Demonstrate how to put on and takeoff
A: Air Vents - We have 2 air vents above the front seats and 2 above the rear seats, in addition
to some on the sides
F: Fire Extinguisher/Flotation Device: We do not have a Fire Extinguisher or Flotation Devices for
today's flight
E: Emergency Exits: We have one door which is latched at the top and then can be opened on
the side. If the door won't open for some reason, we can kick out this window in the case of
emergency. Or we can go out the baggage compartment door. In the case of emergency, exit
towards the back of the plane and away from the propeller.
T: Talking/Traffic: There are times when it's best to have a sterile cockpit, specifically in Taxi,
Takeoff, and Landing. That means we won't be talking in the plane because we'll be talking with
ATC and focusing on our safety with other airplanes. We are flying VFR which means we need to
be looking outside for other traffic. If you see something, say something and let me know of
another plane nearby.
