Vorlesung Jan Knippers – WS25: Einführung in digitale Werkzeuge in der Architektur llgemeine Holz 1. Einführung und Hintergrund Der Vortrag beginnt mit einer persönlichen Einführung des Professors. Er erklärt, dass er in den 1990er Jahren studiert hat, genau zu der Zeit, als digitale Werkzeuge in die Architektur eingeführt wurden. Dazu gehören: CNC-gesteuerte Maschinen 3D-Modellierungssoftware (z. B. Rhino, seit 1998) Diese Technologien haben die Architektur stark beeinflusst und neue Formen ermöglicht. Problem: Viele Gebäude haben zwar komplexe und elegante Formen, aber die dahinterliegenden Tragwerke sind oft noch sehr traditionell, ähnlich wie im 19. Jahrhundert (z. B. Fachwerke, Stahlkonstruktionen).
