NURS MISC - Timmy Adams. Case Study. 2 - Timmy Adams Observations Visual: rhythmic head nodding and generalized spasticity Auditory: pronunciation difficult to understand Skin: warm, dry Odor: chlorine History Mother 1. How can I help him today? a. Timothy is breathing really fast. About 5 hours ago he had a full seizure while he was face down in the pool. His therapist was right beside him and got him out of the pool quickly, pushed the water out of his lungs and placed him in the safe position. After he had recovered he seemed fine and I took him home. The lifeguard reminded me to keep a close eye on him. 2. Does he have any other symptoms or concerns we should discuss? a. No, I think I've told you everything. 3. When did his difficulty breathing start? a. After I got him home from the pool he seemed fine for a while. Maybe a few hours later he started wheezing and breathing really fast. Now he is coughing too. This is not his usual asthma, thats pretty mild and easily controlled. I'm afraid he may have gotten water in his lungs.
