WHY CAPITALISM WORKS BETTER FOR FAIRNESS AND GROWTH
For many years, people have debated whether capitalism or socialism is the better way
to organise a country's economy. As Khayal (2024) explains, capitalism is a system
where private owners invest money to produce goods and sell them in an open market,
with prices set by supply and demand. Socialism, on the other hand, means that the
means of production are owned by the community and the government controls most of
the economy. As seen no country today follows either system completely, the evidence
from academic research suggests that capitalism is better at creating both economic
growth and fairness in modern societies.
