Textbooks are 800 pages long; this guide is 2.5 pages of pure execution. Stoichiometry is where most students lose their grade because they get lost in the units. This survival guide provides a step-by-step roadmap to mastering the math of Chemistry. What's inside: The Mole Roadmap: A visual guide for converting between grams, moles, and particles without the confusion. Limiting Reactant Logic: The 3-step shortcut to finding the limiting reagent every time.

The Mole Concept

1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ particles

Particles = atoms, molecules, or formula units

Example:1 mol of H₂O = 6.022 × 10²³ molecules

of H₂O

2. Converting Mass(g)↔ Moles

Formula: moles = mass (g) ÷ molar mass(g/mol)

Example:

Find moles in 36 g of H₂O

Molar mass of H₂O = 18 g/mol

moles = 36 ÷ 18 moles = 2 mol

3. Converting Moles ↔ Molecules

Formula: particles = moles × 6.022 × 10²³

Example:

How many molecules in 0.5 mol CO₂? particles

= 0.5 × 6.022 × 10²³ particles = 3.01 × 10²³ molecules

4. Finding Moles Using a Chemical Equation

Steps: Balance the equation

Equation Use mole ratio from coefficients
