, INLEIDING
- Meeste bacteriën komen voor in de omgeving en zijn NIET pathogeen
o Facultatief pathogeen : mogelijks pathogeen afhankelijk van de omgeving
(= verzwakte immuniteit zou de kiem schadelijk kunnen maken)
o Obligaat pathogeen : als de kiem aanwezig is zullen er ziektes/letsels
veroorzaakt worden
- Eukaryoten : schimmels en gisten
- Prokaryoten : bacteriën

Verschil prokaryoot VS eukaryoot
1) Afmeting :
a. Prokaryoot : meestal rond 2micrometer (microscopisch)
b. Eukaryoot : groter dan 5 micrometer
2) Celwandverschillen en gelijkenissen :
a. Prokaryoot :
i. Celwand : aanwezig en bestaat uit peptidoglycaan
ii. Kapsel : aanwezig bij sommige bacteriën
iii. Plasmamembraan : ligt binnen de celwand en bestaat uit dubbele
fosfolipidenlaag
iv. Mesosoom : instulping van plasmamembraan en zorgt voor
energieproductie, celdeling en verankeren van DNA
b. Eukaryoot :
i. Celwand : NIET aanwezig bij dierlijke cellen !! wel bij planten,
schimmels, gisten, …
ii. Kapsel : NIET aanwezig bij eukaryoten
iii. Plasmamembraan : aanwezig en zelfde structuur als prokaryoot
iv. Mesosoom : NIET aanwezig en de functies ervan worden bij
eukaryoot vervuld door organellen zoals de mitochondriën
3) Prokaryoot GEEN celkern, eukaryoot WEL
4) Chromosomen :
a. Prokaryoot : slechts 1 circulair DNA = 1 chromosoom
b. Eukaryoot : meerdere lineaire DNA moleculen verpakt in histonen => aantal
afhankelijk van diersoort (mens bvb 46)
5) Intracellulaire membraneuze structuren ENKEL aanwezig bij eukaryoten (Golgi
apparaat, mitochondriën)
6) Ribosomen :
a. Prokaryoten : 70S
b. Eukaryoten : 80S
ð Belangrijk voor specifieke werking antibiotica => zo gaan bepaalde antibiotica
enkel inwerken op 70S en dus niet op humane ribosomen (80S)
