M1 Guidelines
Task: ASSESS the relationship and communication with stakeholders of two contrasting
businesses using independent research. (M1)
Assess means: Give careful consideration to all the factors or events that apply and
identify which are the most important or relevant
1. You must conduct independent research to complete this task. I will not be directing
you to any websites.
2. Firstly, ensure that you have correctly identified the stakeholders (refer to P2) of both
your businesses that you are currently exploring.
3. Write an introduction using the scenario and the given task.
4. Assess the relationship that both businesses have with their stakeholders. Discuss why
it is important for all the stakeholders to be involved and for both businesses to engage
with the stakeholders regularly. Give examples and discuss the positive/negative
impact of the relationship of engaging with stakeholders on the business.
5. Assess the communication with stakeholders of both businesses. Discuss why it is
important to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Discuss the
methods/ways that both businesses use to communicate with their stakeholders.
Discuss how effective/ineffective these methods are.
