involving one side of the body. Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or

understanding. Loss of vision in one or both eyes. Trouble walking, dizziness, loss

of balance or coordination.




A *hemorrhagic stroke* occurs when a blood vessel ruptures and blood

accumulates in the tissue around the rupture. Symptoms are total or limited loss of

consciousness, nausea, vomiting, sudden and severe headache (worst headache of

their life), weakness or numbness in the face, leg, or arm on one side of the body,

seizures, dizziness, loss of balance, problems with speech or swallowing,

confusion or disorientation.

Understand the etiology and sequence during a seizure. IE aura, tonic vs clonic etc.

Auras are associated with focal seizures the patient will see flashes of light, smell a

specific smell or possibly taste something these all indicate a seizure.
