all of these notes will cover the entire coursework for gender and sexuality in European society at slippery rock university. This course is taught by dr. Gressang and it is a very in depth look at what sexuality looked like for a lot of different people in Europe. You will learn about the sexual revolution, and what some had to deal with during the world wars, regarding their gender and sexuality. You will learn so many things you never even knew happened but were very real and very important.

○ Encourage virile men who had experiences on the front lines to embrace it when
they returned home
● Berlin’s reputation as epicenter of gay life was used in British propaganda to connect
Germany to “sodomy and treachery” during the war
