Taking Part in Work Experience

Date Hours What i did What i learnt, achieved and developed

Week 1 18 Health and safety, NOP Induction of the sports facilities,
and EOP emergency exits are gradually getting
used to the surroundings.What
precautions to take during an
emergency such as a fire and dealing
with customers

Week 2 20 Checks, set up I got to do some of the checks that must
equipment, clean and be done on regular bases, then set up
maintenance some equipment for some classes and
at the end to clean and maintain

Week 3 22 Asking question and key Asked higher ranks of staff questions
information about the company. Helping me
understand the expectations of what it
takes to do that role.

Week 4 24 Dementia Training Helping out setting up equipment, and
then going through a course called
Alzheimer's Society. This has provided
me and other staff with extra knowledge
of what Alzheimer's is and making
users aware of it.

I was at all times supervised when doing something so it was a safe environment to do work
experience. Skills I developed were dementia training (Alzheimer), better communication,
and increased confidence. Thanks to this work experience, it has given me a possibility that I
could go into it as an assistant manager and work up in future if something happens.
I achieved my aim by arriving early and gaining confidence to speak to higher members of
staff and the hard work in which they had to put in to be where they are today. For
improvement next time i think that i should try to consume less time doing smaller less
important jobs and focus on the main jobs as there is so much to do during the day i was
slightly unprepared.
