Explain the nature of two named physiological disorders (P1)
In this part of my assignment I am going to be explaining the nature of two
physiological disorders. To begin with the meaning of nature is "the basic or
inherent features, character, or qualities of something" (Google Dictionary,
2017) whilst the meaning of physiological is "relating to the branch of biology
that deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts"
(Google Dictionary, 2017). So, consequently I am going to be describing the
characteristics of my chosen disorders, which will be Anaemia and Asthma.
Anaemia
Physiology is the way in which bodily parts function, however the occurrence
of a disorder can result in a disruption of the arrangement of these bodily
parts. To begin with, Anaemia is summarized as "a condition in which there
is a defciency of red cells or of haemoglobin in the blood, resulting in pallor
and weariness." (Google Dictionary, 2017). However, in more detail there are
over 400 types of Anaemia, divided into three groupings "Anaemia caused by
blood loss, anaemia caused by decreased or faulty red blood cell production,
anaemia caused by excessive destruction of red blood cells" (Hicks, 2017).
