Η έλλειψη νερού είναι μεγάλο πρόβλημα το καλοκαίρι, ειδικά για αυτούς
που ζούνε στα νησιά της Ελλάδας. Δυστυχώς, η έλλειψη βροχής και οι
πολλοί τουρίστες που φτάνουν στα νησιά κάθε καλοκαίρι κάνουν το
πρόβλημα μεγαλύτερο. Στο νησί της Κρήτης τα πράγματα βελτιώθηκαν
λίγο, γιατί υπήρξαν κάποιες βροχές τον Μάιο.
Εμείς που πηγαίνουμε διακοπές στις Κυκλάδες, βλέπουμε παντού
πινακίδες που λένε «Μην ξοδεύετε το νερό». Δυστυχώς, όμως, λίγοι είναι

Στις 3 Ιουλίου, ένας ηλικιωμένος κύριος, ήρεμος και ευγενικός έφτασε για διακοπές
σε ένα νησί του κεντρικού Αιγαίου. Νωρίς το πρωί και αργά το απόγευμα καθόταν
κάτω από μια ομπρέλα στην τελευταία καφετέρια του λιμανιού. Διάβαζε και συχνά
σημείωνε κάτι με ένα μολύβι.
O κύριος είχε πάντα μαζί του τον Σταντάλ, έναν μαύρο σκύλο, ήσυχο σαν αρνί. Ο
Σταντάλ είχε παρακολουθήσει τον κύριό του να διαβάζει τόσες φορές! Το έβρισκε
βαρετό και συχνά έφευγε μόνος του για μια βόλτα. Έμαθε γρήγορα τους δρόμους στο
νησί και αναγνώριζε όλους τους σερβιτόρους της παραλίας.
