AZCOM Interview Exam Questions AND Correct Answers
*****What do you think is the life of med students on daily
basis?***** - ✔✔For the first two years, going to classes, reviewing
materials, studying for tests, hopefully having time to decompress, go
out with friends, and join some groups on campus. Then for the next
two years, keeping current on the material taught, working with
patients, preparing for boards, and deciding what to specialize in.
*****What would best friend say about you? What would worst
enemy say about you?******* - ✔✔My best friend would probably
say that I'm extremely focused on what I set out to do, I adapt well in
situations that are new or don't go my way, I'm willing to help others
with anything, even if I'm not an expert on the situation (not that long
ago, I saw two ladies trying to jump one of their cars and went over to
try to help them. Unfortunately i couldn't, and my knowledge of cars
doesn't extend much past jump staring a car), and will always have
my friends back.
My worst enemy would probably say that push people a bit much,
especially during competitions, as a competitive person, I don't like
losing, so I can push a little hard which can come off as a bit
aggressive and mean. They would also say that I'm a bit emotional,
which can get in the way at times, especially since I don't always
vocalize or show my emotions to others. Also when i get stressed out i
can have a short fuse, in which I need some time to calm down before
that short fuse goes away.

Argue in favor of Universal healthcare - ✔✔I believe that everyone
has the right to basic healthcare. As human beings, we need to help
each other out and allow each other the basic rights and
advancements in healthcare that society has made. We are all
humans, and all deserve the ability to live the life we want or at least
be able to do what we want without being crippled by medical bills or
by not being able to recieve treatment for something society has
aleready figured out. I believe it is society's responsibility to help
those who cannot afford basic care, because as a society, if we help
each other we become stronger and better than we could have been
if we all worked on our own
Access to basic healthcare is a human right. If someone is sick or
dying, it is our responsibility as humans to prevent that and make
them healthy whether they can afford it or not. The divide come in
when it comes to luxuries with medicine, like having single patient
rooms.
Can you think of any examples in our society when healthcare is a
right? When it is a privilege? When it is not clear? - ✔✔I believe that
basic healthcare in our society is a right. If some one is sick or hurt, it
is our responsibility as physicians and future physicians to help out
our fellow member of society and do everything we can to help. it
becomes more of a privilege when it comes to medical luxuries like
having your own room at a hospital or other things like that.
, However, if we have the means to help someone become a healthier
person, or to prevent someone from becoming sick, it is our
responsibility to provide that.
Give an example of a time you had an academic difficulty and what
you did in the situation - ✔✔Fall quarter sophomore year. Just started
upper D classes (2 hardest i've taken at ucsd too), first became
manager of UCSD Hockey, Was still working part time (12 hrs/wk),
and started pledging my fraternity. I was so overwhelmed that
quarter and took on too much for myself at that time. With an
inability to delegate some of my responsibilities where i could have
(especially with managing the hockey team), I began to slip in my
academics. I have to figure out how to organize myself better, so i
bought a planner and wrote down everything i needed to do,
including personal things like get lunch with friends or go out for a
quick drink, and started to meticulously plan out most days of my
career (while being reasonable, didnt want to over book myself). This
exponentially helped my situation and allowed me to give proper
time to all of my responsibilities and academic work, allowing me to
better my grades at the end of the quarter and give me a better way
to plan future quarters and make sure i accomplish all i set out to do
in a given period of time.
How do you deal with stress? - ✔✔I try to distract myself from it at
times (when i can) with hobbies and things i like to do. I take time for
myself, play video games, watch netflix, hang with friends,
watch/play hockey, play golf (ironic right), talk with friends and
family. if I don't have time to do that stuff, I try to take a second and
take a deep breath or two to calm myself down and reorganize.
