CLR Clarity Data Model Exam Version A Newest 2025/
2026 Complete 100 Questions And Correct Answers
(Verified Answers) |Already Graded A+||NEWEST
UPDATE!!!
What is the meaning of one row in my results (key
question to ask when writing a report) - ANSWER-When
constructing your query take now of how cardinality of a
join or presence of a filter may modify your reports
granularity.

Starting a join with the most granular table will maintain a
consistent granularity with each subsequent join. -
ANSWER-Linking between tables

Research on Chronicles - ANSWER-Save time and energy
by starting research in Chronicles rather than going
straight to Clarity.
Understanding how the data is structured in Chronicles will
allow you to better understand the structure of Clarity.
Researching the record in the Record viewer will allow you
to validate the data in the source and explore link between
data points.
You cannot trust the naming conventions in Clarity

Clarity Dictionary Foreign Keys - ANSWER-The foreign
key section of Clarity Dictionary does not provide all
possible joins in Clarity and should only be used for the
joins between category lists and ZC tables

Networked Items - ANSWER-Networked items in
Chronicles define relationships between an item in one
master file and a record or contact.
Each networked item will store the ID of a Chronicles
record or contact.
A particular networked item will always reference the same
master file.
Exmple: EPT 470 holds the ID of the user who last
changed the patients address. No matter the patient or
user EPT 470 can only store the .1 of an EMP records.
This relationship is part of the item definition.

Finding a Networked INI - ANSWER-From a field in
Hyperspace: CTRL Click in the field to find the item
information window. More will reveal the item information
and Network INI.
From Record Viewer : Hover over the item to show Net. Or
hover over the value to show Network to database.
You may also open the linked record to find the network
INI.

From Item Editor : Under the network section look for the
value in Target INI

Most networked items point to records. Some networked
items point directly to a contact within a record. -
ANSWER-To identify whether a networked item links to a
record or a contact look at the Network section within the
Item Editor. If the first field within that section reads
Record pointer then the link is to a record. If instead the
first field reads Contact pointer then the link is to a contact.

Networked INI in Record Viewer - ANSWER-Record
Viewer makes it easy to explore networked relationships.
To see the information contained in a linked record find a
networked item and click on the blue hyperlink in the items
value. The link takes you to the networked record where
you can continue your search.

How does a networked item compare to a category item -
ANSWER-Both networked items and category items store
a value from a list. A networked item points to an ID or
contact within a master file. This record or contact can
store a wide variety of information depending on the
master file.
A category item points to a value in a category list.

This category list contains little information other than the
category value and name.

Both networked items and category items get extracted to
foreign key columns in Clarity. Networked items often
extract to Clarity columns that end in _ID and can be used
as a foreign key to tables that store records or contacts
from the target master file. Category items extract to
Clarity columns that end in _C and can be used as foreign
keys to ZC tables in order to look up the name of the
category value.

When working with tables extracted from different records
there is often more than one way to join two tables
together - ANSWER-Example There are multiple source
columns in PAT_ENC_HSP that may link to
CLARITY_SER such as ADMISSION< DISCHARGE or
FOLLOWUP_PROV_ID. If you would like your query to
show names of all three providers you would need to join
to CLARITY_SER three times using each separate source
column

If an items add type is no add and the response type is
single what element will be present in the primary key of
the table that extracts the item? - ANSWER-Record ID
