3. Within ten (10) days after the notice of decision is sent, the student may request a formal
hearing. Requests must be made in writing to the FERPA Compliance Officer.
4. The FERPA Compliance Officer will appoint a hearing officer. The hearing officer will be
a School Official who does not have a direct interest in the outcome of the hearing.
- The hearing officer will schedule a hearing: the student will be afforded a full and fair
opportunity to present relevant evidence and is entitled to have a representative advisor.
- The Hearing Officer will prepare a report discussing their decision and will share that report
with the student, the record holder, and the FERPA Compliance Officer.

of the decision is sent. The student must appeal in writing to the Vice Provost of Enrollment
