NETSKOPE SUPPORT CHEATSHEET
JAMF is an enterprise mobility management tool that is used for the endpoint management
of macOS devices. You can install the client on users device using JAMF ( formerly known
as Casper Suite ).
Prerequisites
Administrators must possess fair knowledge of JAMF/JSS/Casper suite.
This procedure provides JAMF/JSS configuration instructions for the clients
installed in both AD and Non-AD controlled macOS devices.
Download and the JAMF scripts from the Download page in Netskope Support portal..
The file contains the essential command-line executable script to install and configure
the client. The script file is available from the Netskope support portal.
Download the latest version of vanilla client from the Download page in Netskope
Support portal.
macOS 10.13.4 (High Sierra)
If the client was installed on macOS 10.13.3 or earlier using JAMF, the user was not
required to approve the kernel extension. However, after upgrading to 10.13.4, the client
would remain in the disabled state until the user manually approves the kernel extension.
If the Netskope Client is installed using email invite on macOS 10.13.4, user must manually
approve kernel extension by logging into the system as an admin user. Subsequent OS
upgrades will not require approval.
Steps to be followed for allowing Kernel extension when installing client via JAMF:
