Justify your answer.
(see Exhibits -2 and -3).
First, New World Development sets and defines a clear value proposition—i.e., the description of a
sustainable value. Cheng and his employees have always adopted a 3Ps (profit, planet, and people) approach
in their business units and marketing communications. The firm has created a shared value and vision called
Sustainability Vision 2030 (SV2030) and shows a strong organizational culture to achieve its SDGs. For
example, it publicly discloses the mechanisms and results of stakeholder engagement and has a
sustainability committee to govern and lead the firm.
Second, New World Development creates sustainable value for a wider audience and considers essential
resources, activities, and partnerships to deliver it. All of these activities are disclosed to the public with
e
transparency and guarantee ethics. For example, the firm has initiated Build for Good and Share for Good to

address social or economic problems during an economic downturn; provides cybersecurity training to
employees to protect customer data and privacy; implements programs to improve energy efficiency and water

efficiency and reduce waste; and assesses and monitors the social and environmental impacts of its suppliers
and other stakeholders in the supply chain. It also offers flexible work arrangements for employees.
