NV demerol hydromorphone - used in postop fentanyl - 100x stronger than ms04, small doses. minimal cv ettect sufentanil - for longer surgeries remifentanil - for shorted cases, easily metaboliszed in cv 8. paralytics induction succinylcholine - cannot be reversed. can cause increase in intraocular pressure. contraindicated with pseudocholinesterase deficiency. pancuronium - blocks acetylcholine, cnanot move but is aware. ettects are en- hanced by "mycins" 9. dissociative induction ketamine - sensory loss, amnesia, no resp depression, cannot be reversed 10. inhalation maintenance halothane, desflurane, sevoflurane 11. paralytics maintenance succinylcholine, pancuronium 12. narcan emergence short acting. contraindicated in addicts they will go into withdrawl immediately 13. benzo antagonist emergence flumazenil
