1. Theory of Relativity
Albert Einstein proposed the Theory of Relativity, which consists of two parts:
1. Special Relativity (1905):
- Deals with objects moving at constant speed (especially near the speed of light).
- Time and space are not absolute; they depend on the observer's motion.
- Famous equation: E = mc^2 (Energy = mass × speed of light squared)
Effects:
- Time Dilation: Moving clocks run slower.
- Length Contraction: Moving objects appear shorter.
