LINERS
Pulp stimulators
Have a mildly irritating affect on the pulp that has a beneficial effect it
stimulates the pulp to form a layer of secondary repaired of Dentin to
protect itself from the irritant
Calcium hydroxide
Is the material used as a pulp stimulator it comes in a two-piece base and
catalyst system maybe used as an indirect pulp cap over a near exposure
and as a direct pulp cap Over an area of exposed pulp
Calcium hydroxide
Stimulates healthy pulp to produce secondary Denton and to repair an
exposure with the newDentin layer also known as a liner
Calcium hydroxide
Maybe use as a base but is recommended to use an additional
reinforcing base like zinc phosphate cement and restorations involving
more than one surface
Stimulators
Also known as liners
Calcium hydroxide
A kind of dycal
Pulpal exposures

, PA EFDA BASES AND LATEST
LINERS
Can occur mechanically or through carries processes
Not recommended under composite resin
Copal varnish and zinc oxide eugenol
Minimal Depp preparations that only extend into the Denton 0.5
MM to 1.5 MM do not require
Any pulpal protection
A near exposure is less than
0.5mm to 1.5 mm Dentin
Glass ionomer
Material available since 1975 is a hybrid of silicate and polycarboxylate
cement, Bonda directly with enamel Dentin Cementin and stainless steel
Advantage to glass ionomer
It's bondability to tooth structure and its ability to release fluoride
overtime when exposed to oral fluids thereby reducing secondary carries
Silver
Combines easily with mercury
Copper
Add strength and decreases expansion of amalgam
Tin
