1.1 Common theme
Both poems talk about the environment and how people affect it. They show that nature
is suffering because of what people are doing, like pollution and not caring for the earth.

1.2 Selected lines and their explanation
Poem A: “The earth cries in silence beneath our feet.” This line shows that the earth is

Poem B: “We plant the seeds, then walk away.” This line tells us that people often start
