, A. Business Question
Data in the given scenario displays the attrition rate of the nursing staff, and as a remedy,
the employee wellness program was formed. Based on the analysis, the question that would be
asked is, does offering the employee wellness program provide an incentive for participation that
can lessen attrition? Can it minimize turnover in the healthcare system by providing a voluntary
wellness program for the nurses?
B. Describe Data
The independent variable for this case scenario is the participation rate, and the
dependent variable is the attrition rate. Due to the attrition rate not influencing an employee’s
choice to partake in the wellness program. The data type used is the analysis ongoing due to the
percentages for each variable lying along any point in the data set. The wellness program
participation ranges from 9% to 44%, and the attrition ranges from 1.2% to 6.5%. Even though
there are two sets of numbers this is still on the data type. The quantity of data is based on the
36 months during the study where nurses were leaving the hospital.
