, Understanding the RN ATI Comprehensive Predictor
The RN ATI Comprehensive Predictor is designed to assess a nursing student’s readiness for
the NCLEX-RN. It consists of 180 questions: multiple choice, SATA (Select All That Apply),
NGN (Next Generation NCLEX) styles, and more. Not all questions count toward the final
score—you won’t know which ones. Scores report a pass/fail indicator, mimicking an ATI
proctored exam format. A high predictor score correlates with a high probability of NCLEX
success; Alan achieved a 99% probability on his ATI Predictor.
Key Points:
• 180 Questions: Mix of formats (MCQ, SATA, NGN, Drag-and-Drop, Chart/Exhibit).
• Scoring: Pass/Fail indicator with an associated NCLEX pass probability.
• Timing: Generally allotted up to 5 hours (varies by institution).
• Purpose: Benchmark readiness, expose weak areas, guide focused review.
• Format: Mirrors NCLEX-style questions (including NextGen type items).
