Introduction
Reducing child and maternal mortality in vulnerable and medically deprived groups is still a
major public health concern. These groups frequently experience social determinants that lead
to poor health outcomes, limited access to healthcare services, and a lack of health education.
A comprehensive program of education and support for mother and child health needs to be
designed in order to successfully address these concerns. This program should use the assets of
different health-oriented groups. By using the knowledge and resources of Non-Governmental
Organizations (NGOs), local and state health departments, and federal agencies, a well-
rounded approach can be adopted to enhance mother and infant health outcomes and
promote sustainable, community-centered care.
