👉 Convection current = The flow movement of fluids (gas or liquids) when
hot air rises and cold air sinks.
👉 Conduction = Transfer of heat through solids. HEat energy allows particles
to vibrate more energetically and due to their lattice stricture, energy transfer
is easier.
👉 Radiation:
How heat or energy transfers through an empty space without needing
particles.
It can travel through solids, liquid, gasses or a vacum (space)
Hot objects give infared radiation (an invisible heat energy)

Black cars—> ☀️🥵 absorbs more heat from the sun so gets hotter quicker. At
night, the car emits infared radiation at a higher rate so gets cooler quicker.🥶
White cars —> 🥶 Reflects the sunlight so stay cooler 🪞
Poor thermal conductors will have few free electrons to tranfer the heat.
Silver and shiny faces are great at reflecting (bouncing out) infared heat.
This means that they dont absorb as much heat.
Silver is a good conductor, which means that it allows heat to quickly go
thorugh it when in contact with something hot.
When silver gets hot, it prefers to reflect it back rather than spreading it
around to the air around.
Shiny faces are poor conductors of infared radiation so emit less readiation
than white or black faces even if they are the same temperature.
