feel: wat is your general impression of the situation
airway - ANS look: is there anything in their airway?
listen: can you hear air moving in and out of the airway?

breathing (are they breathing?) - ANS look: is their chest wall moving as they breathe?
listen: can you hear breath sounds?
feel: can you feel air moving in and out of their mouth?
breathing (how well are they breathing?) - ANS look: what is their skin color like? (pale, blue,
ashen)
listen: can you hear any adventitious breath sounds like wheezing, gurgling, snoring, etc.
feel: is the chest wall moving appropriately with respirations.
circulation (do they have a pulse) - ANS look: is their skin pale? are they cyanotic (blueish)?
listen: can you hear a heartbeat?

(MOI)? can they move their extremities?
listen: are they complaining of any neck or back pain?
feel: do they have normal sensation in their extremities?
respiratory system (airway and lungs) - ANS vital signs:
- respiratory rate: count number of breaths per minute
- respiratory effort: observe, watch them breath
- ask if theyre short of breath or have difficulty breathing
10-30 / minute - ANS normal respiratory rate
circulatory system (heart, blood vessels, and blood) - ANS vital signs:
- heart rate: find pulse at the wrist and count it for a minute
50-100 beats/minute - ANS normal heart rate
central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) - ANS vital signs:
