Being a Graduate Student
There will be significant differences between my undergraduate and graduate school
experiences. The courses will differ. In addition to helping me prepare for my work, every course
I take will have a direct bearing on my degree. There are also differences in the course load and
the deadlines. For instance, assignments and class participation were due on Sundays, whereas
discussion entries were due on Wednesdays and Fridays. Participation and assignments are now
required, in addition to discussions that are due on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.
Consequently, I must acquire the ability to effectively manage my time.
A learning community is a collection of individuals who provide mutual support by
sharing information, collaborating, and taking on responsibilities. Furthermore, they assist by
fostering individual development as the group expands. Compared to the community I
