Reflection on Arizona’s Tax System
In this essay, I will analyze the Christian meaning of Matthew 25:35-40 and Arizona’s
tax system. I will also discuss the ethical and social justice implications of both. Next, I will
discuss the actions that Jesus wants his believers to perform when it comes to the tax system.
Finally, I will discuss who pays the different types of taxes and if they are distributed fairly.
Matthew 25:35-40 Christian Meaning
In the passage in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus teaches us how to treat those who are in
need. He spoke in first person, leading to questions of when was Jesus in a situation where is

compassion for those in need through our actions.
