EAD 520: Strengthening Curricular Programs to Promote Continuous School Improvement
Clinical Field Experience A: Strengthening Curricular Programs
During my time talking to my administrator as well as other educational leaders/ mentors,
I was able to get a better grip and understanding of how they use the district curriculum plans
and development policy regarding our state regulations. These plans also play a big role in

When interviewing Ms. Gonzalez, she said she makes decisions that align with the school’s
mission and vision statements by incorporating these goals into her planning. The school’s
statement includes: “We model excellence and equity in education for every child at every level

statement).” She said she when she looks at this statement, she makes it her priority to
differentiate instruction so that all learners can access it. She does a lot of modeling in her
classroom and follows an I do, then you do model. She said this helps students get a better grasp
