Benchmark—Gospel Essentials
People’s understanding of the Christian worldview can differ greatly. Each person grows
up with unique beliefs and may come from a different religious background. This leads to a
variety of perspectives within Christianity. The Christian faith includes several major branches,
such as Orthodox, Protestant, and Catholic, which have further developed into denominations
like Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, and others. Due to this wide range of Christian practices,
individuals often hold differing beliefs and interpretations of the faith. A Christian's personal
understanding of the worldview is often shaped by their specific background and convictions.
Throughout this Christian worldview course, we have explored many topics, including the
influence of God on our beliefs and the various doctrines taught across Christianity. My own
views on the gospel and its key principles have been shaped by my personal faith and how I
interpret my relationship with Christianity.

many different ways. God's nature reflects who He is, what He represents, and how His actions
have shaped my current beliefs. God is the one true Creator—He is triune, meaning He exists as
three in one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three divine persons are unified as

world to live in. A verse that I believe best represents the nature of God is 1 Corinthians 8:6:
"Yet for us, there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live;
and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we
