Society has played a big part in my decision to attend college. Where I from everyone around me goes to college. It's just what your suppose to do is to get a education. Everyone has degrees and if you don't go to college people will judge for not going. They think it's setting you up for failure in life. I believe that because of all this going around me it influenced my decision going to college. Because everyone encourage me to go. Plus I would have felt guilty if I didn't go. So society had a major part in me going to college. Use the symbolic interaction theory to explain why a student might develop an eating disorder. - ANSWERSTo start with symbolic interaction theory is the idea of self concept. This explains why a student may develop an eating disorder. Interactions with others may influence them if someone comments that they have too small of a shirt on. Or maybe a friend says they should go on a weight loss diet with them. Those all influence the way they see themselves. As a person they may start looking at themselves as being too fat for example. Because they look at social media and see all these skinny people and they compare themselves to them. Plus if they feel like they should be worried because others are on a diet. Then they start feeling self consicous about their own self.
