1.) Describe the water hydrological cycle. - answer Water evaporates from lakes, rivers,
oceans, ground, etc. The water vapor enters the air and rises eventually forming clouds.
When the clouds become saturated, it begins to rain returning the water to the earth.
2.) How does the pollution from automobiles, plant life, and combustion affect our water
supply? - answer the exhaust vapors in the atmosphere combine with the rain forming
more dangerous pollution chemicals in liquid form that fall back to the ground, rivers,
ect.
3.) Why does the carbon dioxide gas in the air create such a water problem? - answer
Mixes with rain and forms carbonic acid.
4.) How does our water system become hard water if rain water is so pure when it
leaves the clouds? - answer The rain mixed with the pollutants create acids that
dissolve the limestone and other hard minerals washing them down into our water
tables, lakes ect.
