Infant - social/emotional - ANSWERS4-6m: Stranger anxiety
7-9m: Enjoys peek-a-boo, looks in mirror
*10-12m: claps hands, waves bye bye
Infant - Language/Cognition - ANSWERS3m: babble, turn to rattling noise, notices own hands
6m: continues babbling, like conversating
7-9m: understands cause and effect
Infant - physical/motor - ANSWERS*4m: rakes objects, grasps rattle, begins to roll over (first
from stomach to back).
Reflexes - Parachute - ANSWERS5-6 months and is retained. When slowly lowering the infant
face and head down, infant extends both arms as to protect from falling. (scrape from knees to
hands)
Reflexes - Tonic Neck (fencing) - ANSWERSSupine with head turned to one side, infant will flex
arm and leg on opposite side of body and will extend the arm and leg on the side the infant is
facing.
Toddler - Social/Emotional - ANSWERS*egocentric. Reduction of stranger anxiety if parent is
present, development of "separation anxiety", uses transitional objects like security blanket.
