lock out your arms. Give thirty chest compressions, pushing down at least 2" in depth, at a rate

breaths that make the chest visibly rise.

D - Defibrillation: AED (Automated External Defibrillator), turn on the AED and follow the voice
prompts.

immediately for two minutes (five cycles of CPR; one cycle is thirty compressions/two breaths)
before leaving the child to call 9-1-1. Children cannot sustain life as long as an adult can without
oxygen.
