Communication Tools and Techniques Used by the Team
In the process of working collaboratively on the CLC Health Organization Evaluation
assignment, our team deployed a host of communication tools and techniques to foster effective
collaboration. Such included electronic mailing, phone calls, WhatsApp and our school group
platform. We exchanged emails and phone numbers on the group platform. We shared the topics
on WhatsApp.
These tools each served a unique purpose in aiding our communicative efforts and organizing
the progression of the project. Relying heavily on these tools, we successfully circumvented
geographical restrictions and facilitated swift and efficient communication, thereby keeping
every team member abreast with the project and fully involved.
, Email communication
E-mail communication was an instrumental component of our collaborative process. This avenue
primarily catered to the exchange of significant project updates, involved documentation, and
feedback. Via email, we were able to preserve a detailed account of our discussions, thereby
establishing firm transcription of decisions made and designated responsibilities. However,
email communication had its downfalls as well. Cases arose where some messages were
neglected or lost in jam-packed inboxes. To counter this, our team consciously utilized succinct
yet descriptive subject lines and prioritized urgent or crucial emails.
Online collaboration platforms
Online collaboration tools like a messaging platform WhatsApp and Microsoft SharePoint were
key facilitators of seamless collaboration and document sharing. Effectively, these platforms
allowed us to work simultaneously on shared files and maintain track of our contributions to the
project. Utilizing these tools, we created folders and shared access rights with team members,
guaranteeing that documents were easily retrievable and editable by all. At times, there were
instances when coordinating updates from numerous team members proved challenging,
particularly when concurrent editing led to conflicting changes, necessitating additional
coordination and refined communication.
