Corporeal Things - ANS-Can be animate/inantimate but it can be SEEN, FELT or TOUCHED
ex: land, buidling
Incorporeal Things - ANS-may be understood or comprehended by the mind or thinking
ex: rights, obligations
Private things - ANS-are owned by:
-individuals
-other private entities such as corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability
partnerships
- state
- government.
Common Things - ANS-not owned by anyone
ex: air, high seas
Public Things - ANS-those things owned by the state or the local government.
- ex: running water, the seashore, streets, parks'
*but may still be subject to police powers
Immovables - ANS-consist of land, and its component parts such as buildings, timber, and
unharvested fruits and crops when they BELONG TO THE OWNER of the land.
Separate Immovables - ANS-include buildings and standing timber when they belong to a
person other than the owner of the ground
*only buildings and standing timber can be separate immovables*
Movable by Anticipation - ANS-include unharvested fruits and crops when they belong to a
person OTHER THAN THE OWNER of the land.

land)
