Subtest Score Types - Answer-*Subtest total raw scores are most often the sum of the item scores and,
therefore, are not-age corrected.
*The WISC-V provides two types of age corrected subtest scores (scaled scores and standard scores)
Subtest categories - Answer-*Primary- 10 primary subtests recommended for a comprehensive
description and eval of intell ability.
*6 secondary subtests- can be admin in addition to the primary subtests to provide a broader sampling
of intell functioning and to yield more info for clinical decision making.
*5 complimentary subtests- can be admin to provide further info about other cognitive abilities if the
clinical need is present
*7 of the 10 primary subtests are used to derive the FSIQ*
*A secondary subtest can be used as a substitute if one of the FSIQ subtests is missing or invalid; any
one of the 3 primary subtests not used to derive the FSIQ (visual puzzles, picture span, symbol search)
can be used as a substitute.
