• Inbound- a flight that is entering a country.
• Outbound-a flight that is leaving the country.
• Domestic flight- a flight within a country.
• International flight- flights that cross the border of another country.
• Regional flights- flights within a particular region.
• Intercontinental flights- flights between two countries.
• Transcontinental flights- a flight across a continent.
• Transatlantic flights- a flight cross the Atlantic Ocean from South America to
Africa or Africa to South America.
• Long haul flights- flights over long distance.
• Medium haul flights- flights that cover distance longer than a short haul flight.
• Short haul flights- flights that cover short distances.
• Chartered flights- These are flights on aircraft that are hired by private
companies or individuals.
