Forebrain

■​ Frontal lobe: Responsible for decision-making, problem-solving, and
motor control.
■​ Temporal lobe: Involved in auditory processing and memory.
■​ Parietal lobe: Processes sensory input and spatial awareness.
■​ Occipital lobe: Responsible for visual processing.
○​ Limbic System:
■​ Amygdala: Processes emotions, especially fear and aggression.
■​ Hippocampus: Key role in memory formation.
■​ Fornix: Connects hippocampus to other brain parts for memory
processing.
■​ Cingulate cortex: Involved in emotional and cognitive processing.
■​ Septum: Linked to emotions and reward pathways.
○​ Basal Ganglia:
■​ Caudate nucleus, Putamen, Globus pallidus, Nucleus accumbens:
Involved in motor control, habit formation, and reward processing.
○​ Cerebral Commissures:
■​ Corpus callosum: Connects the two hemispheres for communication.
