Part 1: Facebook Survey Analysis
In 75-100 word each, analyze the results of your surveyed information. Include the following in
your reflection:
1. Can any of the questions be misunderstood? Why or why not?
o Most of the questions contained in the survey are very clear to understand and
interpret. One question that had some confusion on was number seven “I
comment on the Facebook “Wall” of my friends more than four times a day.”
Many being surveyed did not know what the “Wall” was and had trouble coming
up with a number they felt accurately described their way of thinking. Perhaps a
change of phrasing to “I comment on my friends’ profile and/or posts more than
four times a day” would be a clearer, more accurate way of phrasing the question.

2. Are the questions biased or slanted? Why or why not?
o There did seem to be some bias questions within this Facebook survey. One
question/statement that stands out as bias is, “I like to post pictures of my children
on my Facebook profile page”. This is bias because it is only aimed towards
people that have children. Some other questions that stood out as bias were, “I
believe social networking is overrated” and “reading Facebook is a complete
waste of time”, because these questions were presented in a way that exemplifies
negativity towards Facebook. -Kathleen Watts
3. Is the wording of the questions leading or misleading? Why or why not?
o They are neither leading nor misleading, however they can be confusing for those
who tend to overthink their questions. During several of the questions on the
survey, questions were brought up such as, “well what if it is not all the time?” or
“It depends on the kind of day I am having.” These questions are supposed to be
just generalized in the way of response but do have ability to confuse or frustrate
the person completing the survey because they are tasked with answering in a
generalized manner. – Hailey Farrell
4. Is the best response format used? Why or why not?
o I don’t think this survey used the best response format. The survey and the
response format could have been worded differently and more options given to
responses. As mentioned previously in question four, instead of stating “I feel
