LP Gas division was formed in - 1953

The LP gas piping shall be installed, altered, repaired, and tested only by those issued -
a valid license by the LP-Gas Division
Upon completion of the installation, alteration or repair the licensee shall attach to the
end of the piping nearest the container a decal or metal tag or other permanent material
indicating - 1) the licensee's name
2) the LP-gas license number
3) the year the piping was installed, altered, repaired, or tested.
All pipe tubing and fittings shall be made of one or more of the following: - 1. wrought
Iron or steel
2. seamless copper or brass tubing or pipe
3. polyethylene pipe or tubing
All pipe, tubing, and fittings shall have a minimum design working pressure of - 125psi;
except for polyethylene 60psi

Pressure Pipe, Tubing and Fittings." American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM
D-2513
Poly fusion fittings, Socket-type PE fittings for OD controlled PE pipe shall conform to -
ASTM D-2683
Butt heat fusion PE plastic pipe or tubing shall conform to. - ASTM D-3261
Compression-type mechanical fittings shall comply with Category 1 of ASTM D2513. -
Rigid internal tubular stiffener shall be using in conjunction with the fitting to support the
pipe.
Poly Pipe shall be marked as required of ASTM D2513 shall include: - manufacturer's
name or trademark
the standard dimensional ratio of the pipe
the pipe size
the Designation (PE)
The date of Manufacture
the designation "ASTM D-2513"
the word "GAS"
, All valves and valve seats - Shall be recommended by the manufacturer for use with LP
gas.
Unions must be of the - Ground Joint Type
when dissimilar metals are joined underground - an insulating fitting shall be installed to
electrically isolate the different metals.
If cathodic protection is used on piping, - insulating fittings shall be used to electrically
isolate the cathodically protected underground piping system from all above ground
piping or tubing
All metallic piping, except copper, installed underground shall be protected against
corrosion by - the application of commercial corrosion-resistant material specifically
designed for this purpose.
Buried pipe and tubing shall be installed underground with a minimum _______of cover.
The minimum cover shall be increased to_______ if external damage to the pipe or
tubing from external forces is likely to result. If a minimum 12 in. of cover cannot be

equipped with a safety shut-off device, except that room heaters with 40,000 Btu or less
input and infrared heaters are not required to be vented, but shall have a safety shutoff
device and an oxygen depletion system (ODS).
